Damn. This is bad. Tis post you are looking at right now is the only one from Lazy ass Wee Pin since March 2006. A whole 6 months. Really once in a blue moon sia... hahah sorry sorry but I always happen to find something more important to do. Erhem. Doh. Whats a singaporean blog post nowadays without some kaobeiing about the haze. Read something in the papers today that said that living in hazy conditions like this is equivalent to smoking eight cigarettes a day, and inhaling a billion suspended particles. The news reported that more people are staying at home because of the haze but no leh. Yesterday I went to Vivocity and the bloody place was PACKED.
Next time go Vivocity must remember to bring a camera, because the only uncrowded place is the area near those guys dressed in strange yellow suits whizzing about on motor scooters. They would be quite cool if not for the fact that they scream "Welcome to Vivooooooooooooooooooooooooooooocity!" every few seconds and don't keep giving weird smiles and say "You are very pretty today!" (they said it to my sister).There are a lot of shops there that I haven't seen before also, like what pull and bear, utopia and don't know what la. The Tangs is mother big, so I didn't explore that, leave that to another bored day. And the hypermart hasn't opened yet I think.
And damn the developers of vivocity, don't they realise that we teenagers hold great consumer power? Where is the lan shops I ask, where is the bowling alleys I ask again. And tell me why your stupid arcade does not have house of the dead 4. Why why why. Its an instant U grade for any arcade which does not have any hotd. And the grade applies to the mall also. Don't they know people judge malls by their arcades???? At least get some newer machine... your latest game can't be time crisis II what. Sheesh.
And did I mention the arcade is only 1/4 the size of their Toys R Us. Okook will stop kaobeiing.
Otherwise its a shopping haven, even all the normal 'branded' shops like giordana and hang ten all have funky new clothes and designs not available at other outlets, man I need new clothes, bought one but still not enough.
Er back to the haze. Just watched the news, reported that business for VCD rental shops have been increasing. Makes sense hor. I also borrowed five vcds the past week. Then the reporter went to some vcd shop to interview the shop owner and customers. Everybody was like saying yeah borrow vcd to enjoy during the holidays, exams over need to relax a bit. Then got this guai lan mother said she came to borrow some educational vcds for her kids. Like wtf. Imagine this.
Mother: Hey boy! Look what I got here! I know the haze is very bad now, you cannot go out and play but don't worry I have a superb treat for you!
Son: What what?
Mother: I borrowed The Ultimate chao ji Britannica All in one Encyclopedia VCD and an additional bonus cd on How to Make Learning Grammar Easy! Enjoy watching it ah.
Son: @#$%^&*^%&*
Omgness Who goes to a vcd rental shop to borrow those ghastly cds?! And there was no need to add in the word educational. The reporter was just asking people what her family does when the haze gets bad. The family can't be watching educational videos every moment when there is haze. Show off la ba, then next day all the gossipy aunties would come and praise her for being so responsible and being such a perfect role model mother after they saw her on tv.
Gastric Flu
Hai suay suay suay. I tio gastric flu last Sunday. Haze + gastroenteritis is really jia sai la.
Tips on how not to anger a person with gastric flu
1) Don't send an sms to an infected person and ask how he or she is doing and then say "Alright! Just don't pass the flu to me!"
2) "Don't come near me!"
3) "Don't talk to me!"
4) Is it contagious?
And my reply would be (insert middle finger)
Seriously la, why can't people be a bit more sensetive? FYI, it is highly contagious only when the person is very ill, and when the person is very ill, he or she would be groaning and rolling around in bed clutching their stomach and not go to school to see your sorry face. Otherwise, you would only be infected if you share food and drinks or if you engage in snogging.
And it only causes inflammation of your large or small intestine (suay suay both), not any other horrible things that some people think -rolls eyes-
So this stupid virus kept me awake for the first 2 nights of the week, so Asif and Bennett kindly found me something to do at night.
Sigh, too bad it kept me preoccupied for every night of this whole week. It was simply wonderful. I think the trademark of a good writer is to keep the reader addicted to their stories and to make them keep coming back for more. This guy not only did that, but he transported me to another world where I lived in suspense every minute wondering whether Harry was going to shag this girl or die in this encounter or survive the next one. Yeah and you have to declare whether you are above the age of seventeen before you can read the story.
Excerpt: She moved her hands to his ears, tracing them dreamily while they continued to kiss; the tickling sensation electrified all of Harry’s senses and he clutched her even more tightly. Then she brought one of her hands down and found the hem of his shirt; she wormed her hand underneath it and slid it up between his shirt and his skin, making him gasp against her mouth. Then he lost her mouth, and he felt bereft, but she had clamped it on his neck, producing new amazing sensations there with her lips and tongue, and he bent over to kiss her neck, making her produce a gurgling in her throat that sent a thrill of power through him, as he moved his left hand to the hem of her sweater and up her back, caressing the smooth skin there, feebly realizing after a minute that there was no bra strap. Oh, Hermione, he groaned inwardly, what are you doing to me...
And any story that has to have such a disclaimer is fun to read. /gg
Putting the fugly book cover aside, I am really amazed at the amount of effort that the author put in. Hes bloody doing it for free. Yet he researched his materials carefully and managed to come up with a product that rivals or is even better than the JK Rowling one. The characters and the story in this book may not be real, but the emotions, feelings and ideas going into making this story are. The characters in this book are fleshed out thoroughly. I think it would be a long time before I forget them. Now that I think about it I didn't really waste this week away, I went on a wonderful journey instead =)
Hmm, sigh. Its been 2 days since I finished all 3 books, but I still do feel a bit empty inside. I hate the feeling that you get when you realise that you will never be able to enjoy something so good again.

I guess old habits die hard.
Had to run all the way to the cinema when I overslept for my nap in the afternoon.
I think it was a good choice to watch it today, I don't think I would have the mood to watch it after I get back my results.
Oh man can't believe I didn't know about Death Note until I downloaded the anime. But I don't think I would have enjoyed the movie in its entirety if I read the manga also.
The movie is damn niceeee and 2 words: Farking cunning.
The twists and the characters and the plot are all damn unexpected, if you never read the manga. Can't wait for the second movie.
And i foresee an increase in demand for the death note notebook. I saw it being displayed in comic connection but i thought it was just a gimmick playing on the manga's name. I swear if somebody starting writing in a notebook like that in front of me I am going to faint. The notebook is damn cool la, I wonder if they have the rules in front. I'll check tomorrow.
