lol i think this is damn gp... ive been staring at this page for over 5 mins, thinking how i should start off... wheres the intro.. but oh well, i tot, why not start of with this, if not lol, hardly can start off at all =Dwell anyways (see escape the intro so u can anyways into the main point XD) last thurs till sat, was helping out as backstage crew in the dance night concert Footlose! although quite tiring, having to stand arnd most of the time, and stay in school for like 10 hours excluding curriculum time.. i should say it has been quite a nice experience!
hmm how did i get into the back stage crew? oh yea... i was trying to escape remedial, so i desperately wanted to join in so i can go for rehersal and pon remedial... after much haggling, wanqing finally agreed! but.. it was too late, and i had to go for remedial anyway.. lol.. but i sort of wanted to go for the backstage thing anyways, coz i tot can see free show n get cip hours, why not... and im lack of cip hours anyway lol
BUT i was wrong... cannot see much of the show backstage.. sure u can see em dance and all (infact watch them dance and rehersal and etc for like 1792846918623591 times), but all the formations etc are best viewed from the audience side.. frm backstage, they all just look like a mess... ahhhh hopefully can get the vcd/dvd/video of the show they filmed =D
hmm i must say the 2 dance nights went pretty well, cept the first one had a stool fall off which made a bang sound, so ya.. but apart frm that, good job crew!~ haha... actually, ALL the backstage crew frm my class de.. cept yusheng lol... hmm lets see who were there... wenliang,tonghin,chin nam, wanqing, yuru, changrong, shalom, elaine and yusheng... yep... av crew.. aiya no need mention XD...
hmm lets see what was my job, oh yea, mine is more of the saikang job haha.. chiong stage to pick up stuff if they drop, den dancers probs and stuff suppose to collect for them, pass to stage left, hold dancers back incase they block the current performers, den oso help wenliang to que the dances/dancers, oh and shine lights for dancers so they can see where they going lol.. coz they juz come in frm outside.. den inside pitch black, need to adjust lol
actually, for us backstage crew, not much pressure frm the audiences part... coz the whole time we never ever get to have a mere glimpse of the audience seats, so even actuall performance night and rehersal, cannot really tell the difference, still do the same things to perfection! PROFESSIONAL! i think my future ambition is to be stage crew... lol right... maybe oni wanqing haha...coz she stage manager, 老大 very big shot de lor... take mic and address all the performers, ask them shut up dun talk. LOL... best sia.
hmm perks... well, got flowers frm timo and cynthia, the emcees... and then the dance troupes' leaders oso gave each of us some mini goody bag... we.. goody wraper? lol.. 1 small waffer and a mini m&ms.. oh, oso got to watch angie and meng ying dance haha.. nice dances peeps...
hmm anyway quite fun la.. if got chance nxt time do again... lol.. but as if will have chance liddat.. -.-.. oh yea, tonghin is a bastard... keep on dun wan go out and bow when they thank stage crew... so hamsterish la... scared what sai.. tsk..
