Play your sports till strangers cheer for you
Recently, the blog is spammed by super-long posts.. So i shall follow the trend too! But so long never blog liao.. forgot how to blog..Nvm.. i shall start off with a quote to add to my word count..

Yar i know i damn random, but read my post title.. and read the quote again..
As some of u may have known.. the vball j1 team being damn bu yao lian joined the U19 vball comp, thinking that we may be able to pwn ppl (Muahahahahaaa)..So with 4 months of coach-less training and average height of 175? (pulled down by me =P) we entered the competition.. Ready to PWN ppl
Actually after the group matches are out, we were still quite deluded that we will win. Let's take a look at our group teams~
Ghim Moh Secondary Alumni (Never hear b4, so sure win one?)
Bukit Merach CC (Who will lose to a group of random bengs?)
Republic Poly (Who will lose to another group of bengs?)
Shuqun Secondary (Last year B'Div finalist, nvm can afford to lose this match cause we are so going to win the others)
Ok so we will pass the group stage right? Yar right..
Problem No. 1: CCAL Camp
With 5 people out of 12 people in the team going for CCAL camp, we are left with 7 people. Vball requires at least 6 ppl in the team to play.. I am the libero so i cant rotate to the front in the game.. so if a person from the 7-man team except for me decides to pon the match, we will walk-over.. That's y the vballers keep saying im not important =(
Problem No. 2: 7-men team
Our 7-men team had no training in formation before.. Therefore, we impromptu everything, from formation to subs to strategies.. Also the 5 CCAL camp people are like part of the first team..
OK enough of the problems..
Lets look at the results...
Ghim Moh 1st Set: 14-25 (Lost)
Ghim Moh 2nd Set: 9-25 (Lost)
Bukit Merah 1st Set: 4-25 (Lost)
Bukit Merah 2nd Set: 2-25(Lost)
Okok.. i noe we got pwned dun nid to suan us.. but aniwae the CCALs tried to get back in time for the bukit merah match but they were too late lor..
Btw, the Bukit Merah match was on this tuesday and we have a match against Republic Poly on this wednesday.. So all of u can roughly guess the score right?

Ok so we were expected to get pwned..
We walked into the sports hall expecting to get pwned.. played in front of audiences who expect us to get pwned.. played a team that was expecting to pwn us..
But they din..
The results:
1st set: 23-25
OMG? How can that be possible? Nah.. i din type wrongly.. we realli got 23-25..
We could have gone on to win the set.. We were leading at 23-22 at one point of the match.. But we lost..
It was then when we realised that audiences that we do not know at all were cheering for us.. When we were playing for the last point.. the audiences cheered for our every saves and spikes.. Even though the last point lasted only 5 rallies.. But everyone in the team had the spirit of "shi dou yao jie dao qiu", and this spirit has received acknowledgements from the audiences..
Even though we lost our 2nd set with a score of 6-25, at the end of the match when the RP players(no, not Raffles players.. -_-") shook hands with us, all of them said good game.. and we know they meant it cause we gave them a really hard time fighting to get past the group stages.. Therefore, to all my brudders in this blog.. play ur sports till strangers cheer for u, so that u noe u have already played at ur very best..
Watch out Shuqun Sec, even if we cant defeat u, we will definitely push u to ur limits.
