Play your sports till strangers cheer for you (Part 2)
I realised that my post like got nothing to do with my title =(OK so i shall attempt to link my post back to the title (GP common test)
Well.. The scores aren't everything.. They show ur relative standard as compared to your opponents.. They do not show your REAL standard..
How then.. will u noe that you are playing at ur REAL standard?
When ur schoolmates cheer for u?
No.. because when they are forced down to support matches.. they are expected to cheer.. They are cheering for the possible holiday that they may get if u win (Well most of them are..) Only a few of ur schoolmates will really cheer for u because they saw ur efforts during ur trainings and ur matches.. More importantly.. they are cheering for the school's name.. and u r but just a small part of the school.. Who the hell in the school will remember your name when u win aniwae?
They will onli remember that the volleyball TEAM won.. the basketball TEAM won.. Who will care about the people that makes up the team as long as they get their holidays? And what makes u think they will remember u for ur effort if u lost? If u haven't noticed yet.. the school sends nobody down for matches in the group stages.. Why? Cause they are not worth the effort and time for supporters.. Cause group matches will not bring glory to the school..
Only the Championship title will.. therefore, they hire buses to send loads of supporters to semi-finals and finals..
How about when strangers cheer for u?
Why will strangers cheer for u? They are not affliated to ur school.. They don't even noe u.. They wun get a holiday when u win.. Who will say "Boss can i have a holiday? Cause the vball team that i support won the group match!!!"
So y did they cheer for us during our match against RP? (Republic Poly not Raffles Players -_-")
They can easily support Repblic Poly.. their average height pwned us by at least 5cm.. They are more well-built than us..
But they saw our effort during the match.. Beacuse they are not blinded by the possible holidays that they may get if we won.. They saw the effort we put in to gain every point we deserve.. They know that we deserve every point we had..
Before the match, they were just there to watch the match.. Throughout the match, they supported us, cheering for every points we scored and feeling the pain for every point we lost..
Even though we eventually lost 23-25.. They know that we had really put in our utmost effort to score the 23 points..
Even though our 2nd set was quite disappointing.. with a score of 6-25.. they continued to cheer us for every point we scored and remained quiet for every point Republic Poly scored..
So to all my brudders in this blog.. the score isn't everything.. the efforts u put in for ur sports may not be the score u get.. but as long as u put in ur utmost effort into the game.. u are the winner.. and strangers will then cheer for u for the effort that u put in..
