Better late than never!

today after lunch, was having bubble tea with gerard at the usual place. then as we were talking cock, i nearly saw a traffic accident. nope not a traffic accident nearly happened, only i nearly saw it.

heard a bang sound, and asked gerard what happened. then he pointed to the road and said some car just knocked an rj girl down, didn't see it cause the pillar blocked me. (my focus seems to be wrong here >_<)

when i looked, a stupid van was blocking, then can see a short trail of brown stains on the road then i'm like wtf, and cannot see anything also. anyway, the driver got out and accompanied the girl who got up and went on to the pavement and sat her down there (phew, still can walk). so me and gerard went forward to take a look.

apparently the girl was rushing across to road to catch a bus home and the driver didn't see her, so knocked her down. the driver was some old man who turned quite pale in the face, who got so worried he can't even recall his handphone no, so gave us his homephone no. instead. so me and gerard took the girl to the nearby clinic for a checkup.

thankfully it wasn't a hard knock and all she got was a graze on her knee and a bad sprain or crack on the feet. the driver called up the police(a bit too exaggerated? its just a graze) and some paramedics came along also, although by the time they arrived, she was already looked to by the doctor. but anyway, the paramedics brought her to the hospital for x-ray on her feet to confirm if its a crack. so don't worry ppl! she's safe!

although she's a j2 and have chem S paper tmr o_o. what bad luck. so take care even when you rush, its better late than never! who knows what would have happened if the car had been driving faster... so everyone, watch out when crossing the road!

---------------------------------------------------------------

so came home, mum's out today, have to settle my own dinner. then i got a bright idea (ok maybe not that bright as you will find out later). i decided put my culinary skills to the test! today i'm going to finally cook beyond maggi mee by myself!

so couldn't think of anything, so decided to make fried bee hoon and egg. so went to wash the cabbage, soak the bee hoon. everything was going well, the chopping also went quite well, chopped up the cabbage, onion. then cooking....

first was the omelette, not enough cabbage to go around and didn't know what else to go with the omelette, so time to have plain omelette! quite fun beating the eggs. then when i poured the egg into the hot oil, wah the oil start spurting everywhere, so i had to run off far away to hide. anyway soon after i realised i added too much oil, not enough pepper and soy sauce though. had the oiliest egg ever.

next was the fried bee hoon. didn't know when to add the beehoon if i cooked it together with the cabbage, so decided to cook it separately. cabbage went quite smoothly, just that i took too long to add water, then some of it chao ta, and added a bit too much oyster sauce, so quite salty, but overall: PASSED! (er to my standards la).

then fry the beehoon. after taking it out of the soaking bowl, i realised i took too little -_- but too late, already soak liao. so shui bian ba, put it in, then i went to add water... should have added oil instead... (only realised this after i added in the water), so i had to wait for the water to evaporate, then add oil.

and the noodles seem to be getting lesser and lesser, cause everything stuck to the wok :'( not like it wasn't very little in the first place... so by the time i finished cooking, i was left with 2 small balls of bee hoon =(

sigh, took about 45 mins for all that. what a nightmare. and i'm still hungry after finishing all that food... still gotta wash the wok and plates =( oh well, better luck next time. do watch out for the next episode of W Can't Cook!
