Xmas

well, so no one have blogged in a whilem and blog seems to be dying, so heres paramedic Ah Nam to do some CPR on the blog =))

hmm this christmas was a nice 1, thanks to the various people who wrote cards to me =D haha.. sorry i never write back.. juz not used to writing xmas stuff haha, but i promise i will return the favour in say, CNY ba haha, again thanks =).

this xmas was wonderful also because of the "class outing" at bernie's place, haha, was really fun, though she was bz most of the time, and couldn't attend to us much... but oh man, her chair rox.. so comfy.. nice nap lol... nice elmo XD

also, my dad had like 30k points on his cred card, and he redeemed this whole xmas feast for free!! got my relatives over... first time my place celebrating xm,as i think haha... was quite fun =D

Midnight Sun on boxing day was also cool haha, though the rain sorta drenched my spirits >.< sry! but, the company was still great ^^, so yep

guess its the outings before, during, and after xmas, that made this festive period extra fun.. bball, lan, movie and such... been enjoying too much this hols... feel bad... lol.. die.. havent touched anything bleh... haha.. ahhh save me ):

The future...

Well i shall blog something intellectual this time..

Was listening to 东风破 & 千年泪 and looking at their lyrics.. and suddenly i feel quite depressed.. Maybe its just the sad tone of both songs that made me feel depressed.. Maybe it was wad chin and me were chatting earlier in Anarchy that made me feel depressed..

Still remember the day when chin and the rest came to my house to film the video for SVA.. I went down to fetch them and saw them toking among themselves so was wondering wad were they toking about.. So chin told me "We were discussing wad we wanna be in the future"

Of course everyone has thought about that question before.. But have we really gave much thought into it? Most ppl will just say "Aiya be docs, lawyers or accountants lar.. Earn the most money d wad" But seriously there's so many jobs out there.. U realli want ur future to be dominated by the thought of earning more and more money meh? Earn so much for wad? Buy the whole galaxy?

If i can have a choice, i will choose to be a lyricist (dunno whether spelt correctly or not..) but i dun wanna be just a lyricist that writes random craps.. Write lyrics that are meaningless.. Maybe im too influenced by 方文山.. i wanna write lyrics that ppl can relate themselves to.. Lyrics that hooks up ppl's memories..

Paiseh sounds damn sentimental now.. But the lyrics from both songs just reminds mi of the past and the future.. even though they are both love songs lol.. Aiya but anyway..

Will Tksspm still exist in 2008? 2010? Maybe we are all part of tksspm just cause its convenient for us lar.. We have been in the same schs for the past 5 years le.. Next year, 2007 will be probably be our last year together (unless we all end up in the same platoon lor, the odds are like.. impossible 就对了 lar) Will we still be in contact with each other? Some of the brudders are already starting to drift apart.. Cause of things like having stuffs of higher priority or simple things like taking other brudders for granted.. Most of us are guilty of the 2nd one bah.. As for those guilty of the 1st one, u noe who u are.. Of course there are stuffs that are more important than socialising with us.. But u still nid to try to queeze some time out for us..

Anyway onto taking other brudders for granted, yar i m guilty of that at times too.. We really wun noe the feelings of others unless we put ourselves in their shoes.. No offense to anyone.. But simple things like giving respect and helping each other out also cause us so many conflicts.. I realli dun wanna remember Tksspm as a bunch of ppl who onli noe how to have fun together.. I wanna remember it as a group of frens who provide support to other brudders who nid help.. Or if possible.. I dun wanna remember it.. I still wanna be part of it..

I hope that we wun dissolve after the 'A' levels with a major dispute where everyone pours out their discontent abt everyone else.. Just for your info, im realli happy that chin formed this Tksspm lar.. I even toked abt us during my vball exco selection, abt how i have a grp of frens to share my burden with.. But somehow when i toked abt tksspm back at the exco selection, i nearly cried, was trying damn hard to stop tears from coming out.. Tink everyone in the room can tell that i was abt to cry lar.. Maybe that's wad costed mi a possible post in the vball exco.. Realli regretted toking abt Tksspm right after i finished my "speech".. But after leaving the room, i immediately felt happy that i had mentioned abt my best frenS to the vball ppl..

Maybe u all dun feel as much as i do abt Tksspm bah.. Cause i tink im quite emotional for a guy.. I hope that any brudders after reading this can start feeling for each other, and not take us for granted.. We definitely will not stay together forever.. That's y in our last year together next year we must never take each other for granted.. When we help u out, its not by duty but cause we wanna help u..

wart is my problem?

yesterday took part in some man adventure race with wee pin. SAFRA AVventura. Other ppl who were there includes yizhang, shawn tan, charlene and james.

had a bad start to the race, the moment we started running, meiting's hydropack's (i borrowed her hydropack) mouthpiece flew out from the tube and was lost among the other racers' footsteps. so couldn't and didn't find it. as you can guess, water started spewing everywhere from the hydropack's tube. so in a desperate attempt, i looped it around some straps of the bag, which resulted the fountain to become a slow drip that was quite cooling yet irritating. although from time to time, the loops came loose and water start spewing all over me and weepin who was beside me.

first leg of the race was some 3+km running to our first checkpoint. after finishing the first leg of the race, my leg was also finished. i sprained my right ankle, wheeeee.

thankfully that checkpoint was cycling for the next 4 checkpoints somewhere in the live firing range. so took very long to bandage my foot while we watched all the teams race away. :'(.

however, the cycling wasn't very easy, cause it was in the live firing range and we were cycling on very uneven paths, and very rocky, so its very tiring @_@

but not bad, after bandaging went on to cycle + navigation. seems like everyone else was pretty bad at navi while me and wee pin owned. we caught up with damn a lot of teams even though we were pretty slow in biking and wasted damn a lot of time bandaging my foot.

at our first checkpoint, one person run and one person bike, so poor wee pin went on to do the running. at the end of the checkpoint, we had to do a mystery task! sounds pretty scary *gasps* here goes...
"Karen is twice as old Kori. In 3 years time, their total age will be 42. What is Karen's age?"

2nd checkpoint was swimming. the activity was pretty much swimming in name only. basically you had to go along the bank in some river/lake/mudhole there. its so shallow almost everyone just walked across.

3rd checkpoint was filling a 1.5litre water bottle at a fixed position away from the shore with stuff you can find on your body. so we used wee pin's shoes which owned all the other groups also. (those who were there when we arrived were still there when we left! woots). although if you think about it, how the hell does this relate to an ADVENTURE race, filling bottles in the jungle...?

final checkpoint was super fun. its basically cycling in jungle-like terrain. everywhere is grass, then its just a small dirt path for you to cycle on. some parts are like totally muddy so your bike slips around. then even got muddy puddles that can go to waistdeep. (i fell into 1... with my bike too..) but damn fun.

wah anyway after already damn shag already. cycle everywhere. then next was going to the next checkpoint. couldn't run anymore, i can feel the sprain and like my whole leg about to cramp, basically i could feel it in my calves, my thighs, my inner thighs, on both legs... so just walk quickly lor, while watching like 10,000 teams overtake us. then we walked into some khatib bongsu place that seemed like its a part of pulau ubin, quite nice vegetation there. just walk and walk and walk.

here's where the title comes into play. no pun intended, but wart was really my problem! with all the sand in my shoes from swimming, it was really painful on my sole cause i had a total of 3 warts on both feet. summed with a cold, a sprain, thigh abrasions, butt pain and cramping legs, wah walk damn slow. even after drinking 3 packets of oral electrolytes, eating 1 packet of power gel, drinking like millions of packets of activade, and rubbing hell lot of deep heat on my entire leg until it was burning, still cannot run. quite shitty.

after that was kayaking, damn shiok, the few places where we overtook damn a lot of teams. we kayaked super fast, like faster than all the inter-army category manly ppl. depressingly, they caught up soon after we went on the shore...

after that is a long run back to yishun safra, i mean long walk. at yishun safra supposed to do rope ascending and climbing. but too many ppl, had a very bad bottleneck. so man man deng. yingzi, kelly and gavan came to support us! even brought 2 bottles of H2O! thanks!

for those who dunno whats rope ascending, you will have 2 jumars (things which you attach to the rope, then can slide up but won't come down when you pull). then you just move up the rope. quite xiong, but i realise its damn fun la.

the bottleneck caused the end of the race to be delayed from 2 to like 4pm or something. but we later found out that the prize giving ended while we were still stuck at the bottleneck. thanks organisers -_-

after that finally finished the race. damn accomplished la, cept that we had to walk pretty much the whole way. completed at 7h45min, but waited more than 1 hour for all the climbing stuff, so i guess its around 6h+? not bad for a bunch of untrained noobs. wee pin, you're the man!

the best part of the race was probably the activade which we drank, some sports drink sponsor for the event. i drank like 20 over packets of activade through the race la, quite shiok. wee pin drank about the same number lol. like each checkpoint drink at least 2 or something, then even dabao a few to drink along to way! woots

anyway for those of you who thinks that the math qn is damn easy and minus 3 instead of 6... good luck to you.

Advertisment Filmming : Day 2

tqtq for all those who prayed...filmming was a success..the weather was fine and managed to find sumone's house (dali's) to film in....

the onli 状况 is tt we left cam at eugene's house..though tt din really affect us much...

however however...editing was )#($@*#%*(& ..took dam long...

lucky still managed to get on the last train home....

and finally finally...today handed the videos in... Tianni's grp owe us one...all the way down to buona vista..which is no where close to any of our houses...and after late nite editing..lack of sufficient slp over the days...ya...that grp really owe us one....

once again..thanks for all who prayed for us...the pdt not bad leh...mayb mayb can squeeze a platinum? heh...(optimism)

tksspm raid sitex!

hmm~ i've got this endorsement by 老大.. to blog abt the outing we had on sunday.. better post before i procrastinate again lolz.. cos jem already post abt tues..

kkz.. so instead of rotting at home we decided to go sitex@expo in search of some cheap bargains.. especially when it's the last day also..

so we met up at changi airport mrt arnd 1230pm for lunch cos the food outlets at expo would definitely be flooded.. travelled from T2 to T1.. long time nv take the retarded skytrain, which ac/de-celerates as it wished even though it's a nearly straight route lolz.. then we ate at popeye's lor, not bad la.. chin nam like some chicken shredder, took my leftovers and put into his mouth.. come out micro bones lolz! from 5x5cm of chicken rib become a few pieces of 0.1x1cm bones.. really shen~ a few others took centuries to search for staff canteen which was 千里之外.. then eat here wait there, tok here stone there.. it was already 3+pm when we were ready to leave for expo lolz..

so so.. we went to find nk uncle at expo mrt.. he changed specs! lolz.. purple and white plastic frame.. XD look quite diff hahaha.. sitex man crowded.. expected, so u cant see much actually since everyone's juz concern whether there's space in front (and who's in front XD).. so we walked around but didnt see much (nothing we wan to see.. hahaha).. dun have die-die-muz-buy stuff also.. but dali bought micro sd card for his handphone for quite a good price as everyone's mobbing the memorycard store until the whole lane jam.. so we walked the deserted alley behind the booths, lol it was definitely 100x faster and breath-able.. hmm ya then we found the dali-suppose-to-work-there booth - JK Computers.. hahaha the male boss (w/ rebonded long hair!?) was standing on some platform and promoting his mp4.. then he saw dali.. hahaha dali was super awkward when he made a mini-wave.. wahaha XD .. at one point there were 2 models on 1m high platforms posing with laptops, well u know.. it did kinda incur some reactions from some ppl amongst the group lolz~ all i know was there were some pushings here and there, and i heard something like 'high angle shot'.. play too much gunbound eh? XD

okok seems like readers more interested in the upcoming photos.. relac..

so nothing much at sitex.. we somehow walked into 'big boyz toyz' expo juz nex door.. at first i thought it was some restricted expo haha.. no la~ inside got sell guitars, bikes, cars, yacht, jeeps.. but there was a restricted site with some featured shows inside like 'mud wrestling' and 'bikini show' (as shown on schedule) lolz.. nvm la, try again nex year.. wahahaha..

well well.. so again, it was nothin much also until we saw some commotion and a crowd in front of us.. wat's tt..? o.O Hot Stuff magazine promoting cars only la.. so we took a few photos of the cars lor, unlike the 32958371049 photographers/cheekopeks/wolves/desperados surrounding us..

heh, nice cars right~ XD the funny thing is u can see as some guys got close and saw the 'cars' they gasp and 'wah~' to themselves hahaha.. the whole hall only here crowded lolz.. somehow the crowd juz disappeared when the models go for break leh..

then we saw some jeeps.. and a ghost if u c carefully and the pic below lolz

yea and we did saw some star wars characters.. cute kids

after tt eugene went back to sitex to look for speakers but didnt buy in the end.. while the rest stoned at bk.. not long after, we left for home lor.. back to rotting..

Advertisement Filmming: Day 1

okay..so it was a last minute thing, since the date due is this friday, 8th dec, and we had this since looooong looooong agooo....

now...unlike the usual last minute thing...this time it din went well...at least not the 筹备...

状况一：
we are doing a video...but we cant get a DV cam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so we ended up using a Digi Cam with video capabilities..which..can take 30secs in one shot...better den nothing....

状况二：
we din hv enuf keyboards!!! end up hv to 借位..hide here hide there...

状况三：
we need some trolley (no cam stand)..at least sth with wheels so that the camera can pan properly and stay stable..so had to hijack some OHP trolley...btw..if u din noe, the cable is attached to the trolley...

状况四：
so...our plan was to hv girls in the shot..so it wont b stupidly lookin like a boys school or a bunch of boys..but den..being last min..the whole thing end up being a boys thing nonetheless.....

状况五：
the timing of the whole shot is totally screwed..quite random..n hard to make it look nice..yet at the same time make the place feel crowded and full of ppl (background)....so end up took various shots...tried various techniques..

状况六：
camera went out of batt...well..at least for a while we stopped..gd thing too..a break..if not i wld just go #(*%&@#(%*&@#_$()!*@#%)(* ....freaking tired...

状况七：
the cam is supposedly 10fps...(for those who dun noe..it means one word -> suck)...
so to make up for it..we took everything in slooow-motion..basically the actors walk much more slower den normal...the bulk of filmming wasted...

状况八：
as a result of no.7 ....this arose ...i hv yet to seen it..but the it looks bloody fake when we spd up the motion..so wad originally thought to be probable...is not possible...

状况九：
so far..from wad i've gathered from nk..he is still tryin to fix his codecs..to get the raw footages to work..b4 any editing can b done...

in summary...a lot of problems..a not bad idea w/o a possibility of quality footages..so far..everything is STILL running..just on the verge...anything may throw us over to the failure side of the fence..

so pray...pray for us...regardless of ur religion or ours...n rest assured tt while u are praying for us..we wld b praying for ourselves and working hard at the same time..(and not slacking..heh)

p.s. if u hv no idea wad to pray for...just basically pray for the 2nd day of filmming to be a success..n we can get a relatively gd quality video done by this friday...

well..so far...so gd...

Cheers Mate!

Hey! I'm back too =) Really really missssed you all in the 12 days I went to Australia, but now I'm back and ready to resume life liao.

Hmm somebody needs to update me on what happened lols, like that cool emblem. And NK's philosophical MSN nick.

Had a really great time in Australia. We went to Victoria, Bendigo. We could see scenery like this every single day, and I'm having a heavy dosage of post expedition blues now.

The sky is how pretty right? The first picture was taken at a place called the Balconies and the second was taken at a huge lake at the Murray River.

A solo picture taken at Mount Hollow, the peak was just right above me, so everybody was probably jostling at the top taking pictures.

Alright another group picture at the Balconies.

Yeah and we saw tons of animals there. We saw so many kangaroos and wallabies that I'm sick of even uploading a picture of one. You all know what they look like anyway.

Life in Australia was amazing, I would never forget the first few days where we paddled down the river, and when we got tired we just lied down and just let the river carry us all the way. I would never forget the afternoons that we spent sitting under a lemon tree singing lemon tree till we fell asleep. And lastly I would always remember the beautiful night sky that was so clear that we could see nearly all the constellations that were on a star chart.

Haiz, enough reminiscing. Oh and I still have a bit of a minor jet lag, cause Aust time is 3 hours after Singapore. So by right, this should be around the time I sleep, which I shall do now lols, good night =)

Class Outing

hey! im back! haha.. long time since last blogged.. coz nothing to blog >.< but now got le haha.. will be brief and short though.. well, shorter than usual though haha

well, so ytd, friday, was our "class outing" haha.. with the usual few pple, namely wanqing, xiaole, aggy, changrong, and the 6A/2H trio haha.. well.. its usually only the three of us guys neway... haha..

so yep, AS USUAL, i was ON TIME!! lol ok mebe not that usual.. i usually earlier 1 la XD haha jkjk.. jere and tong same train agn.. 1 train ahead of mine.. and wow i muz say quite impressed wif the princesses wanqing and aggy.. they were... LATE! but earlier late, than later late haha.. bout 15 mins late la.. commendable.. whereas xiaole bomb late.. like half and hour + late lol.. forever late de.. chang rong was alrdy at taka there le.. stoning apparently haha.. so we walk there and we tot that aggy/wanqing have orchard at the back of their hands, and noe where they going.. but apparently not -_- haa.. went up wrong tower of taka, but of course, we guys who noe how to read maps.. got them out =))

lol once see CR she stomp her feet and start whining how late we were etc lol.. den went in to seoul garden! lol... the food there.... er... no comments... lol... oni noe that the beef is nicest amongst the rest of the food.. and pls dun take the orange looking cheeken.. its some char siew cheeken which sarks.. but that goes along wif the rest.. all sarks haha... i think the best food there is the ice cream and the drinks ba... lol.. cause cannot go wrong de lol...

tong hin the mr smart, took man lotsa charsiew cheeken and we all landiao.. have to eat all if not food wastage need count money =(( lol.. so me and jere nearly lan diao lol... oh and tong hin changed seats wif changrong and sat we agnes =))))))))))
at first i wan change seat wif chang rong so that tong hin can seat beside aggy and CR same time =D but lol.. pple shy, so she dun wan.. lol they like it la... xiaole like pig liddat eat man alot.. and CR some pau machine.. keep koping the pau.. wanqing and aggy died early.. after a few rounds den lan diao le.. aiyo why so noob.. sobs...

lol elaine suppose to come meet us after our lunch, but then she tummy ache, so cannot... well, we were deciding what to do but cannot decide.. so in the end we settled for shopping... well, the gals settled for shopping.. and we juz followed lor... haha.. quite fun la.. looking at them try shoes and dresses.. seeing their tastes and etc... yea, like wq and aggy said.. we are very nice and patient =)) haha make good boifrens lehhh haha jkjk.. but yea, apart frm being damn thirsty during their shopping trip, theres nothing much to complain about la.. we all very easy going de haha... but i dun think they bought nething though haha.. but i bought my bling! hee~

so ended the day off walking back frm far east plaza to the mrt lor ah.. so sad, wq and aggy took train on other side.. and had to bid adieu to CR who is elaving tomorrow.. sunday, back to china.. sads sia haha.. hmm CR did u cry? haha i thought i saw ur tears welling up!
