army's been great so far.. so far quite slack in terms of training wise.. cause still early ma.. i got 6 mnths to go.. plus still early they give some time for adjustments.. but tekan sessions are starting haha.. i like! for now i still feel that SUTC and GTC scout camps whoops training here... but we shall see la, 2 mnths down the road..
now still some physical trianingings.. 1 mnth later, will draw arms.. den training scheduel start to tighten and then willg et more shag, den will do all the out field trainings.. which are quite manly.. better gear up! haha
kk i say some stuffs now so nxt time pple dun keep asking same stuff 1 by one den keep repeating lol..
kk firstly muz understand that when u enlist at a certain date at certain time, ur prolly frm the same company. each company has arnd 150 pple.. though mine got less like 130. den each company will go through the same programmes and lessons together.. but each company is split into 3 platoons, which is smthing like a class la.. u all do everything tgt, eat tgt, sit tgt, stay on the same floor... the 3 platoons tgt is like.. lecture grp + pe grp liddat la... after that platoon is split into 4 sections.. each section is where ur bunk mates are.. each section 12 pple.. 12 beds in a bunk lo.. thats basically it..
my company/platoon is quite mixed...average age as of 2007 should be 20 y.o. yup. about 30% liddat frm jc, another 20% frm poly, and about 30% ite, 20% are PhD (poly halfway dropout) or N'level, or O'level pple.. but fret not, your company's are most likely 100% jc or poly batch. yup.
so anyway, when first go in, quite man la, quite hard to click haha.. cause so diff backgrounds... about 10% have half their body tatooed or more lol.. and really really 45% of the whole company smokes haha..
ah, but at least i'm pretty good wif my bunk mates le, den starting to get closer to the rest of my platoon mates.. not bad not bad.. and got arnd 5mnths + to bond! haha.. quite interesting to have all these diff pple here... i noe it wld be much easier to go in and have everyone frm jc, den ez to strike convo.. juz ask"eh whats ur sub combi, hows A's" lol... but here u start of wif some vulgarity of some languange.. tamil, malay, chinese, hokkien all got lol.. but good la, at least u get to know more pple and get to understand diff types of pple la...
oh oh... here got a bunch of body builders too hahaha.. wahhh all sibeii strong sia.. weigh 120kg can do 8 pull ups.. nice. lol.. all so wasted la, come for extra training even though they are so freaking mascular.. juz cause they heavy and compacted haha.. but their 2.4 timing oso not that good la haha.. that time went to gym lesson... the benchpress machine.. 1 of my bunkmates.. went there.. put FULL LOAD. 108KG not pounds.. den juz press like nothing. i juz K.O and died. LOL... he say he do 120 bench outside de.. kao.. crazy. haha
hmm what else.. nothing much le.. oh for thoes gg in, my sergeant said "IN the SAF, we train to standards. so once u reach the standard, we wont bother u anymore" so always keep this moto in ur mind: "DO IT ONCE, DO IT GOOD!!"

Ok so i finally got my lazy ass down to blog. This time it shall be about the 01-2002 batch overseas trip to Bintan. though Psy has already blogged about day 1 and going to blog day 2 and 3 soon and in detail (i hope!), i still wanna blog it down myself so i would not forget the memories and times we've had.
---------------------- DAY ONE -----------------------------
so on the 1st of dec, i went to tanah merah mrt to meet alvin and james.. james being the noob cake that he is, was late. we all cabbed down and met everyone at tanah merah ferry terminal. we stonned around to fill in some forms and also to wait for ongardo, the late man.
Got the ferry tickets den went to the boarding area, but the ferry late lol.. always liddat.. so we kinda stonned around. den betawesh and me went to the liquor store to buy some liquor. He bought Bombay Saphire while i got the Absolut Vodka Peach. at 47% and 40% alcohol respectively.. and they were MAN cheap. like 28 per litre. cause there untaxed ma.. some manly... sadly they oni allow us to get 1 litre per passport. but aiya enuff la haha..
stonned around and everyone cam whored a little lol... oh and quite wtm, the jetty where u board the ferry.. is actually floating.. den it keep bobbing up and down lol.. quite manly.

we kept finding pple to take pic.. in the end asked the store selling Ba Zhang to take for us but he say he bz.. Zzz.. den ask some passer by lol.. this was taken juz before we left the ferry terminal!
then we boarded the ferry. it was named Aria Bupala. lol and the ride was about 45 mins, and pretty much puke enducing lol.. kept bobbing up and down la! good thing i immune! but ong neh was quite affected by it... he quite degen and ate anti sea sick pills, which KO him for quite some time.
xj bought an icecream in the ferry.. it cotst 2.80 SGD.. wooo.. not bad QUITE cheap. lol.

reached bintan then it was already quite late already.. at lik 5 + issit? haha oh yea and bintan is 1 hour behind singapore time! so technically its 4+ at bintan. bought a lot of MAN expensive snacks in the terminal.. cause no where else to buy le.. den took quite a long bus ride to our hotel. the Nirwana Resort!
the resort is beautiful la! den psy checked us in. we got rooms 3205, 3209 and 3227! (i bought 4D but din come out D= ) we ohyapeiyasom to decide who room with who. in de end its the owl 2004 gang who got roomed together at 3209! whereas dan xj and betawesh got roomed to 3205 and ongneh alvin and dylan got roomed far far away to 3227! haha... naturally the middle room, wif me psy and james, got named the HQ(headquarters) where everyone will go to, to meet up. basically everyone stonned in their rooms and watched random tv shows until like 6+ before coming over to HQ to meet up, den we decided to go to the Kelong for dinner
haha it was quite a nice dinner la. basically at first some people want to be more hassle free so they proposed to order the set lol.. dunno whats it called.. psy said its some phoenix bursting out or smthing set lol.. i could tell straight away that its cheat money, frm the way all the waiters keep pushing us to buy it. cause we like bunch of kids so he think we damn noob.. but got me and betawesh da experts! haha so basically me and beta helped the group alacarte.. and saved like over 10 bucks per person as compared to if we were to order the less dishes and less filling suckier set course menu! wooooo! hmm for the list of the food we ate, can go refer to sirui's blog haha.
after that man filling and relativey satisfying albiet more X den expected meal, we headed back to the hotel. den like everyone kinda degen so we were like WHAT THE MAN STOP DEGENING, LETS WALK ARND! haha so we went to the beach to walk arnd.. it was already around 9+ and quite man dark haha.. so we cant really see anything at the beach.. but the stars were.. simply put.. dazzling and amazing.. they were soooo beautiful and aplenty... there were sooo many, juz like the sand under our feets.. and the breeze, or shall i say gale, there was sooo cooling and strong! haha we cam whored quite a bit

we wrote like 01-2002 love! on the sand, den xj grabbed this dude frm some man farway place, all the way to the beach, to help us take foto haha! but the foto not bad, i like =D.. after that we walked up and down the beach, most pple were toking cock. i burst into random songs wif xj and psy.. den we reached this pitstop lol.. some resting stand thingy and juz sit inside.. started talking about random stuffs like tazer guns killing people etc. we also broke out in random songs! we even sang edelwiss, complete wif all the hand actions! haha.. sang some scout songs too, like ging gang goo, complete wif all the shaliwali LOLOL... we also sang the RI batch songs.. ahhh such were the times.... after that we decided to zhao back to the hotel rooms... it was then that i realised that the spot i sat on had some manly TAR PASTE thing.. it stained my jeans.. and could never be washed off ever again -.- some tmd.
Back at HQ everyone juz stonned and most people watched War of the worlds on HBO, while me dylan ongneh and daniel played bridge... then we took out the vodka and started drinking.. since it was quite strong, i mixed it wif apple juice bought earlier on.. and omg DAMN NICE! like apple peach drink + vodka. hahaha so nice la.. everyone drank a little.. but i kept drinking like a man haha... in the end i kinda drank half of the 1 litre bottle of vodka.. den got
kinda tipsy lol.. BUT NOT DRUNK!! i was kinda in the high state la, not drunk yet, so cld still roughly remember what happened haha... actually its quite fun to be on the high state.. i was pretty much randomly laughing and screaming and falling all over the place.. den james chan damn asshole lolol.. everytime i like struting around or lying on the bed he juz go nudge me den i juz fall down lol.. den he kept trying to determine if i was drunk ask me walk straight line and hop around -.- lol... i forgot what happened but at 1 point of time james was like "what the man u drunk man get out!" den i was like "OK LOR I GET OUT!" den i chiong out the door and randomly go daniel's room knock the door lol.. at that point of time they were asleep le.. den daniel climb up to open the door to see a high man lalala-ing den he quite pist and closed the door.. only the door din close fully.. cause IT GOT STUCK WIF MY TOE PINNED UNDER THE DOOR. >=E argh damn pain lol... den sirui came out of hq and saw me limping back to 3209 lol... in the end i juz plomped on the bed and fell asleep in 0.5 seconds.. lol... quite man
--------------------------DAY TWO--------------------------
slept frm the previous night 4am+ til arnd 10 am... woke up and felt quite shitty.. lol.. i think was the alcohol the previous night.. went down to the restaurant there for their buffet breakfast.. wah serious was feeling quite screwed up lol.. was hoping maybe some food might revitalise the body... the spread was not bad, but its juz like any other typical hotel breafast spread ba... bernard some man.. he ate 5 omelettes frm the omlette stand.. lol.. crazy liao. i think the best was probably the chicken curry wif teh nasi lemak haha...
but ok la.. the food did do a little good.. after that we headed down "perth" which was around the pool area.. lol..perth =) rofl.. kk.. the pool area was overlooking the sea and beach.. the scenary was really very nice.. took some fotos haha... there were quite a lot of angmohs at the pool area all relecing and sun tanning or reading book haha.. den we headed down to the beach again.. this time morning ma.. so can see much better... the beach was quite pretty and very very long! and over looking at the sea got this small small moutain like island. its really very pretty.. its looks like the landscape of the road runner and coyote cartoon show la.. haha..
den we decided to go down nearer to the sea to let the waves wash against our feets.. it was quite fun haha, sometimes the waves were very high and unexpected and actually got some of our pants wet! ok. cheap thrill.. but what the man.. the the company that matters aint it! =D haha.. the wind was still as damn big as ever lol.

so we lalala back to the rooms lol.. i think everyone wore shorts? even though some brought trunks lol.. we went back to the pool area den like shared beach chair wif this funky indian fella listening to mp3 and writing stuff in a book lol.. im sure go bintan mug.. we lub eveything on the chair and someone (i forgot who) never shower and juz jumped into the water lol.. dirty boy.. wah the water was man cold.... we brought a ball along to play waterbasketpoloball! lol.. its basically this game where we can shoot into the polo goal post and score 1 point, or a bball hoop above the polo goalpost and score 5 points! i think it was split into east vs west if im not wrong.. eh? no.. was it ohyapeiyasom? cause i rmb the manly james chan imba tall man not in my team lol.. aiya cant rmb much.. juz that james chan imba goalie, and daniel damn suck lol.. den sirui got cramps (leg cramps, not erhmm), alvin yong man unfit, daniel oso cramp.
played for quite sometime.. i think we were sort of a nuisance for the pple tanning by the pool, cause they have to stop relec-ing priodically to help us take ball lol... hmmmm i think some people purposely miss so the chiobu tanning will help take ball o.o hahaha... but ok la.. i think the funky mugging indian quite enjoyed himself.. he kept smiling when watching the game lol.. unless... he is like the bishan gay! zomg. scary...
after that we swam out of the polo area and to the jacuzzi area.. wah there quite manly.. some of the pumps quite MaN strong and they mainly pumped in 2 directions.. one on ur back.. and 1 on ur A*hole. which was quite.... er. danger of giving u an enema. lol.. OHOHOH look at the 3rd foto upwards, u can see the pool facing the sea part.. yea yea, we swam over there.. and omg the view was really nice la!!! and the wind was sooo strong, that when u splash water outwards, the water beads juz flew right back!!! haha soo cool right! it was really realxing over there wif all these frens and breeze... yea.. den got this guailan man come and take foto of us haha, den sold the fotos at the reception area -.- psy bought it and burned to cd.. but i dun have it!! wei i need fotos la, faster send me!
hmm after that we were quite stone, in the pool for like 3 hours le? become prune le! haha.. so we decided to head down to the beach.. at the beach nothing much to do. so me alvin dylan ongneh james and psy decided to sit down and let the tides hit us... daniel and xj were clothed already, betawesh tot the water too dirty so they juz stood behind us lol...
i tell u. cheap thrill. but damn fun. lol.. we juz sat in the sand semi submerged.. then the waves will come in and beat on us. lol.. everytime we see a MaNLy wave, we would call out "omg that 1 that 1 the man the man the man the man" X 23874928374 times haha.. some were so strong we got washed up ashore! and flipped here and rolled there haha! pitty thoes 3 manly din join us la... its really quite fun and sometimes the back wash is so strong u feel urself sinking as all the sad get lubbed away lol... we were also trying to find the "man of the match" lol.. for me i think it was a multi shot wave. first wave hit us and we fell and lay down on the sad, second one came 2 seconds later and totally submerged us! lol man salty haha... den u noe, the waves will wash in stuff.. den wash in MaN lot of seaweed lol.. we pick up as they wash up and throw at each other lol.. at 1 point of time i dunno which man (ongneh or james? o.o) decided to collect all the "菜" that washed up lol.. at the end we had like this HUGE pile of seaweed and we brought it ashore and threw at the resting sand. i had no idea why. but what the man! lol.. oh yea... because the sand was super fine and abrasive, many of us kena abrasion when the wave hit us and wash us on the sand lol.. and OMG pants juz got like shredded.. i din even realise until i stood up lol.. the sand juz tore true my pants la.. totally shredded lol.. ggfied. so yea after that zhaoed back to the rooms to bathe
after bathing it was pretty much stoning and comparing who has been burnt the worse i.e reddest. i was as red as a cooked lobster, and therefore won hands down LOL. then people were like "aiya damn hungry, go eat lunch!" but it was alr 4+ le D: so beta suggested we skip lunch, and then travel to city area (1hour plus) look see look see and eat a MaN dinner lol.. it was a good idea! but then we realised the busses leave and arrive in such a way that we wld be quite rush and time wasting... so we juz aiya wtm... go play soccer la! haha.. so we grabbed the ball and headed down. but not before stopping by at some mama shop in the hotel to snack like a man. lol
we went down to this garden(?) field place to play soccer... teams split as me psy ongneh dylan versus beta,daniel,james,yong and xj. haha it was quite fun la, but man tiring lol.. good thing it wasnt hot cause we were so close to the beach and its gale. but my sholders were burning hot! cause of the sun burn T_T quite xin ku lol... the game was fun albeit tiring lol... and when we played till half way, this dude wearing a hotel polo shirt with the words "REACREATION" boldly printed on the back, came over and expressed interest in joining us lol.. at the same instant, i caught sight of another guy in the same shirt, quite far away, lumbering wif a number of beach chairs in hand, doing some manly chores apparently.. hahaha... this dude really come here do some recreation sia... anyway back to this dude

after soccer, we decided to go to the poolside cafe to stone and get some icecream or smth... well in the end oni daniel psy and alvin got icecreams, while me james and betawesh got mocktails.. ongneh got some cocktail called nirwana illusion~ lol.. it was some manly mixture la.. but quite nice haha.. all the mocktails were actually quite nice! yong ate his sexy lady marmalade until he almost KO.. lol.. to secksi for him to handle la...after some stonning, we decided that its dinner time! we went to ask the counter or smth to recommend some place and the recommended this oleh oleh village or smth. haha.. went there and realised eh! ive been here before! haha.. but when i was there when i was young, that place used to be super crowded! but now its like ghost town lol...
so we picked this restaurant la, den went in and started ordering food. this time ongnardo had a hand in ordering the food, cause we asked him to help us order some traditional indo cuisine! he said explicitly "the bbq fish is a must try!" den we "SET". at the end. the bbq fish sucked the most. LOLOL. dumb shit. lol.. the rest of the dishes were pretty much ordered by ong and me and concensus. we had mee goreng, nasi goreng, sambal chicken, chilli crabs, sambal kangkong, small plate of kailan, curry sotong, sucky grilled fish and a steamboat... i think there are somemore but i forgot! psy shall fill in the missing details lol.. some of us had coconut juice, me and dylan shared a bottle or carlsberg while ong and beta shared bottle of heineken. carlsberg better. lol. oh xj odered some helohelo juice. in case u din noe, oleholeh is helohelo backwards! wow so cute! lol.
AND AND AND the person who took our order was this really cute and slightly shy malay girl haha.. ongnardo speak indo to her to help us order, den we juz machamp luff at ongneh cause his indo quite manly.. den the girl keep giggling hahaha! ongneh subconciously flirt manly~ mannshing go kill him plx. lol
the meal was superb! better than the kelong meal and much cheaper too! i think the mee goreng was the man. haha.. after that went to take fotos, and shopped at some mini mart and souvenier shop.. i din bother getting any gifts.. cause bintan is basically like a singapore lol.. and their souveniers are quite fei and no like cultural value lol.. tho the dart blower was quite cool...... but weapons arnt allowed back ! haha
back at the hotel, we gathered at HQ to watch some soccer match. arsenal vs bolton i think lol..arsernal owned bolton la... we already decided in the morning to get wasted today, wif betawesh's bombay saphire.. but WHAT THE MAN! betawesh KOed on the bed first thing when he entered his room.. lol..den slowly everyone KOed.. haha.. we were pretty much self wasted. without alcohol somemore! haha what a tiring but fulfilling day it was la...but quite hard getting to sleep.. cause by now the sun burn effects were really starting to set in and damn damn damn sting-y la when we lie on our backs -.- but too bomb tired and fell alseep anyway haha

woke up and went down for breakfast... lol this time quite late, then they were like going to clear up the buffet le! so we meng chiong the whole thing and juz lubbed all the food like some machamp. i forgot who ate the chicken rendang half way and found some mudder stapler bullet inside!!! then dylan was like "must tell them" lol... den turned and asked some waiter to come over and man him.. den the waiter quite gong gong den orh sorry sorry, den called soem manager down lol.. den the manager was like sorry sorry, its probably the frozen chicken packet, when opening the packet, the stapler drop out etc.. yea then we let the matter slipped.. juz wanted to feedback to them la, not trying to own them. afterall, get them to be more careful nxt time.
after the breakfast we felt quite screwed up.. cause our ferry today leaves at 4...so we dun really have much time to go to city or anything... den have to check out by 12 some more.. so we decided aiya go down to the good old beach first la.. go there take some more fotos and explore further haha.. oh halfway there me and yong stopped by "perth" LOL.. i like~
at the beach, saw trucks and workers collecting all the washed up "菜" lol.. then also got a lot of logs and planks covered wif razor barnacles.. look quite deadly o.o haha.. luckily the previous day we sitting on the beach, thoes logs din wash up.. if not, coupled with the power of the wave.. we probably in hospital now lol...
took some fotos.. wah kao the scenary and the breeze really makes it relaxing. then frm our place, can see this piece of headland faraway, got like a lot of buildings built on the mountain slopes haha.. look like some holy place in tibet that the monks live in! or some itallian place by the sea! then we continued walking down and saw the most peculiar marks on the sand! there were like really really tiny balls of sand scattered in a pattern all over the beach.. with alot of small holes in the sand too! we tot muz be some kinda insect burrows or smth haha.. so we like tried to poke some holes and see what came out.. and to our surprise... TINY CRABS!!! hahaha.. like really really really tiny! sooooo cute la haha.. we even caught some in action.. digging holes, and brinign up balled up sand and pushing it out of the burrow hahahahaah! so adorable lol.. and the whole beach was littered wif them! i think maybe we walk here walk there killed some of them D:

after somemore peekture taking, we went back the hotel and checked out. but then after that damn man sian.. nothing to do... we wanted to rent buggy to drive around, but need driver's licence! argh.. so they damn sian and decided to loan BORED games -.- i played 1 round of carrom and sian diao alr.. lol.. went to join some of them in scrabble... and came up wif very zeydeep words LOL.. quite some zammiee.. o.o lol
me yong and jc got bored.. and decided to go to the pool area to relec relec, and zeydeep a little rofl.. but then oni a few people there, all the hao liao not there, so cannot zeydeep some goodeep. lol but got a few puideep! den some zammie keep splashing water at us..zzz lol i bet ur very confused, but relec, juz new scout slang =D ...formed by scrabble lol.. it was qutie relaxing and funny also lol.. esp the bartender trying to zeydeep some angmoh girl wif the bf lol..
we went back up to find the rest.. then saw them playing battleships........................ -.-................ SIAN! so me alvin and jc went down again, this time to do some exploring! we saw some angmohs walking into some foresty area, so decided to go there and see see.. we walked in, den came out, and !! we saw another beach!!! 300 metres frm out beach! haha.. and this beach was quite deserted and also very very beautiful.. much more serene though.. also less hot..
er but... we saw this 1 angmoh girl being topless O.o... but she was quite far away, and we din bring any binoculas.. lol jkjk.. she was quite far away la, so we din really see much.. oh oh oh there was this platform halfway into the sea! and on the platform was a few beach chairs.. wahhh its really super nice.. climb up the platform and lie on the beach chairs and juz look at the sun set... perfect.. why din we find this place earlier!

but alas, good times dun last long.. while we were strolling back.. i recieved a call frm ongneh.. he said "ok. come back now.. NOW.. RUN BACK NOW. the bus leaving in FIVE MINUTES" den me and jc and yong juz WHAT THE MAN! and chiong all the way back to the hotel area, which was really quite far lol.. wah pant like man la... good thing we caught the bus in time lol..
the ferry ride was really quite manly.. like dylan said, it was like some manly roller coaster! haha.. and a lot of kids were screaming inside hahahaha.. quite a funny sight.. after reaching singapore, we took s cab to parkway parade and had dinner at some hawker centre.. we left all our luggage on one table though.. and it looked like some mountain hahaha.. after dinner, we all headed back home, and so came the ending of out 01-2002 bintan trip.
this trip has been awesomely memorable and fun, expecially with the right company =) hope we can have another overseas trip soon! and keep in contact peeps, dun forget me when i zhao to army lol.. though u all will zhao off soon too~
